Pages gets long lag time on iPad 2

I had created a Pages document on my Mac at work to edit. I saved the file to iDisk, and then imported it from iDisk onto my iPad 2. The text imports properly, but the Pages has a delayed response time as I type, editing, deleting, adding text. Now it is impossible to use this App.
