Facetime not ring on iPad 2

The Facetime does not ring on my iPad 2 when it is called. The screen only shows that someone is calling. Try resetting the iPad did not solve the problem.Then I eventually got it to work. I changed the switch from screen orientation lock back to mute in settings first, and turned the mute switch on and off again.
