iBooks app keeps saying Loading

After I downloaded and installed iBooks app on my iPad, the icon kept saying "Loading..." and it showed up in the settings but you can't do anything there. I cound't open it, cound't remove it.Then I pressed and held both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. After restarting the iPad, the app worked.
